The purpose of the Tamariki / Mokopuna Grant is to:

• acknowledge the role our kura/early childhood centres/kōhanga reo play in growing strong whānau hapū and iwi; and

• provide some financial support to our kura and to allow them to continue to undertake their vital roles in growing our tamariki mokopuna and as a result, our iwi, hapū and whānau; and
• for the advancement of education.

The fund can be used to:

• Advance the educational aspirations for the applicant;
• cover costs of attendance at events/transport/venue and catering; and
• to alleviate the financial pressures for the applicant to allow for them to continue to deliver on educational outcomes for our tamariki mokopuna.

ELIGIBILITY

This fund is contestable. To be eligible, the applying school or early childhood centre needs to:

• Demonstrate its whakapapa connection to R15 affiliated iwi/hapū.
• Provide an outline for the purpose of the grant
• Provide quotes where possible; and
• Provide evidence of a validated bank account.

Payment Details

To be considered annually – close off date 30 April, considered and paid in May.

REPORTING REQUIREMENTS

Accountability report is to be submitted by the applicant to the Trust via the website or email info@rotoiti15.com
