A graduate of kōhanga reo, kura kaupapa, rumaki reo and whare wānanga; Apenti draws on a unique set of cross-sector skills, in both the public and private industries. He has a proven experience in management planning and policy, business development, governance and consulting. Apenti has also managed complex stakeholder relationships, diverse teams, with a particular focus on creating equitable change to improve economic and social outcomes in Aotearoa, with a specific interest in and around the Māori economy.
Notwithstanding the above, his lived experiences and whānau-centric approach underpin his commitment to kaupapa. An innate understanding of people, place, and what this means historically to whānau and hāpori, and how we might leverage our tūākiri moving forward as a marker of success.
